Private influenza vaccines are now available for $25 per dose.
Free flu vaccinations are also available under the National Immunisation Program (NIP) for people at higher risk of complications from influenza, including:
- Children aged 6 months to under 5 years (can be given with routine childhood vaccines)
- Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander people aged 6 months and over
- Pregnant women at any stage of pregnancy
- People aged 65 years and over (a higher-strength vaccine is available for this age group)
- People aged 6 months and over with certain medical conditions that increase their risk of severe influenza
