Free RSV (Respiratory Syncytial Virus) vaccination will soon be available under the National Immunisation Program (NIP).
From 15 May, a single dose of the Arexvy® RSV vaccine is available at no cost for eligible groups, including:
- Adults aged 75 years and over
- Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander people aged 60 years and over
RSV can cause serious respiratory illness, particularly in older adults and those at increased risk of complications. Vaccination is an important way to help reduce the risk of severe disease.
