Dr Adelfo Hipolito

Dr Adelfo Hipolito has been with Gap Road Medical Centre since May 2001. Fellow with the RACGP. Bachelor Medicine.
Dr Hipolito has all around interest with special interest in Dermatology, Skin checks, Minor Procedures, Diabetes and Indigenous Care. Also speaks Tagalog.

Dr Maryam Mirzazadeh

General Practitioner
(Does not do vape prescriptions and does not accept WorkCover or TAC patients)
Dr Maryam Mirzazadeh graduated from medical school in 2006 and spent two years working in Gynaecology and Obstetrics before commencing her General Practice training at Gap Road Medical Centre. She achieved her Fellowship of the Royal Australian College of General Practitioners (FRACGP) in 2022. Dr Mirzazadeh enjoys the full breadth of General Practice and is dedicated to providing holistic, patient-focused care. She holds a Professional Diploma of Women’s Health and has a strong interest in all areas of women’s health, including menopause management and HRT therapy, medical abortion, IUD and Implanon insertion, and antenatal care. Her other clinical interests include children’s health, chronic disease management, mental health, skin conditions, skin cancer checks and biopsies, and minor procedures. Dr Mirzazadeh speaks both English and Persian (Farsi) and is committed to supporting patients from diverse backgrounds.

Dr Nayana Garg

General Practitioner
Fellow with the RACGP – joined our team in May 2004.
Her interests include Women’s Health and Asthma.
She also speaks Hindi.

Dr Wutt Yee Soe

General Practitioner

Dr Wutt Yee Soe joined Gap Road Medical Centre in Sept 2016.
Obtained MBBS in 2006.
Became Licenciate of Medical Council of Canada in 2012.
Obtained FRACGP in 2019.
Previously worked in Canada and Burma.
Enjoys all aspects of General Practice has experience in dealing with patients diverse backgrounds by providing care through comprehensive continuity and patient centred approach.

Dr Adrienne Heslop

General Practitioner

Dr Adrienne Heslop graduated from the University of Melbourne in 2009.
Worked in a range of specialties at St Vincent’s and the Austin hospitals for 3 years before starting GP training in 2013.
Fellow of the RACGP since July 2016. Enjoys all aspects of General Practice. Special interests include women’s and children’s health including antenatal care, chronic disease management and mental health.

Dr Jack Kain

General Practitioner
Jack is a GP registrar who has worked at GP clinics in Newport and Fitzroy prior to Gap Road Medical Centre. Jack is originally from New Zealand and moved to Melbourne 9 years ago to study medicine at Melbourne University. He then spent four years working in Sunshine, Footscray and Williamstown Hospitals. Jack has a broad interest in GP from paediatrics to geriatrics, but has special interests in addiction medicine and chronic diseases like high blood pressure, diabetes, and heart or lung conditions. When Jack is not at work he likes the outdoors, in particular fishing in Port Phillip and Westernport bays – but hasn’t had much success!

Dr Sylvia Hanania

General Practitioner
Sylvia graduated from Monash University in 2011 and completed her Fellowship in General Practice. She is passionate about staying current with the latest evidence-based medicine and enjoys sharing her learning with patients. She loves empowering her patients to be active participants in their own healthcare through shared decision-making. She enjoys all aspects of general practice with a particular love for preventative care, minor procedures (e.g. iron infusions, skin cancer removals) and travel health. She will be working Tuesdays and Thursdays from 9am to 4pm.

Dr Tooba Mollah

General Practitioner – Registrar
Dr Tooba Mollah joined Gap Road Medical Centre in 2025. She graduated Monash University Medical school in 2016 and has gained a wide variety of experience since then. She worked in the hospital system for four years in a variety of specialities before pursuing General Practice training. So far, she has practised in Warrnambool and at the Victorian Aboriginal health service (VAHS); as she has a passion for “generalism” and treating a wide spectrum of patients.

Dr Joseph El-Assaad

General Practitioner - Registrar
Dr El-Assaad is focused on providing patient-centred care and has particular interests in paediatrics, acute care, and managing chronic conditions like diabetes and heart disease. His training at various hospitals, such as The Alfred, Monash Medical Centre, Ballarat Health services and Western Health has given him experience in a variety of clinical areas, and he aims to take a practical, comprehensive approach to patient care. He is committed to ongoing learning and enjoys working with other healthcare professionals to ensure the best outcomes for his patients. Dr El-Assaad also speaks Arabic.

Dr Thomas (Tom) Rimmelzwaan

General Practitioner – Registrar
Tom is a GP registrar who has previously worked in Niddrie. He is from Tasmania originally and completed his training and junior doctor years there. He enjoys the diversity of general practice and is passionate about preventative health and chronic disease management. When not at work he can be found running, at live music events, or at the footy tragically supporting Carlton.
